I. WHAT INFORMATION IS COLLECTED:
Lawmatch collects certain information from and about its users in several
ways.
User Supplied Information: When you register with Lawmatch, you
will be asked to provide us with certain information including your name,
phone number and address (Contact Information). You will also be
required to fill out a form regarding your educational background and
career objectives.
In addition, you will be asked to select a login name and password for
your Lawmatch profile. We recommend that you do not give the login
and password information to anyone.
Resumes: Since Lawmatch is a career site, we give you the option of
putting your resume in our database. If you would like, you may opt
to not include your resume in your Profile and simply use our site to
search classified ads. You may also store your resume in our database, but
not allow it to be searchable by potential employers. Simply notify
us that you would like to maintain your Profile's inactive status.
Server Log Information: When you visit an Internet Web site, you
disclose certain information about yourself, such as your Internet
Protocol (IP) address, the time of your visit, and the referring location
(e.g. the Site or page that offered a link to a Lawmatch page.
Lawmatch, like many other sites, records this basic information about
visits to its site.
Cookies: To enhance your experience at Lawmatch.com, we use a
feature on your Internet browser called a cookie. Cookies are small
files that your web browser places on your computer's hard drive.
II. HOW AND WHEN INFORMATION IS USED/ACCESSED:
User-Supplied Information: Once your profile is activated, all
employers and recruiters who use our database product will have access to
information filled out in your profile regarding your background and
objectives. If you do not wish your profile to be accessible to
employers and recruiters who use our database, you may request to maintain
your profile's inactive status. For Lawmatch Public Profiles, Contact Information can be ordered by
employers on-line to contact qualified candidates. For Lawmatch Confidential Profiles,
Contact Information will only be given to employers or recruiters with your
permission. Contact information for both Public and Confidential Profiles may be used
by Lawmatch staff to contact candidates as necessary.
Lawmatch allows you to change or correct your personal information at any
time. We recommend that our members edit and update their
information to keep it current. To do so, simply log in to your
Lawmatch profile and click update after you have made the appropriate
changes.You may ask us to deactivate or delete your profile from our database at
any time.
Resumes: If you include your resume, once your profile is
activated, all employers and recruiters who use our resume database
product will have access to your resume.In the case of Public Profiles,
we remove certain information from your resume including your name and/or
your most recent employers.
In the case of Confidential Profiles, Lawmatch will edit your resume
so that employers and recruiting firms will be unlikely to ascertain your
identity when reviewing your Lawmatch Confidential Profile. It is up
to you, however, to make the final determination. Lawmatch will not
activate your Confidential Profile or make your resume available for
employer review until you have given us authorization to do so. We
assume no liability or responsibility for damages, losses, or pain or
suffering incurred by a candidate whose identity is discerned by or
disclosed to a Lawmatch user, when such discernment or disclosure is the
result of Lawmatch's authorized presentation or your approved Confidential
Profile.You may remove your resume from our searchable database at any time.
Server-Log Information: This information helps us identify which
areas of our site are of interest to our visitors. Lawmatch also
collects the IP addresses of its visitors for the purposes of system
administration and to report aggregate information to potential
advertisers. Any user statistics that we may provide to prospective
advertisers or partners regarding your Lawmatch usage are provided in the
aggregate only and do not include personally identifiable information
about any individual user.
Cookies: We use cookies to keep track of certain statistical
information and for load balancing. Because of our use of cookies,
we can deliver faster service, consistent, updated results, and a more
personalized site experience. You have the option of setting your
browser to reject cookies. However, certain areas of our site may
not function properly if you set your browser to not accept cookies.
